NICEST Lab

The NICEST lab's research focuses on information and data processing, communication and storage over networks. Our goal is to understand — from theory to practice — how to “best” communicate data over networks. We tackle this from information theoretic, statistical signal processing, communication theoretic, and networking angles. Our research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the Department of Defense. Our students have gone on to post-doc positions, industrial research positions, as well as industrial development in a variety of areas including data science, wireless, storage, and networking.
