Postdoc and Ph.D. positions available within the NICEST lab

Several postdoctoral positions and Ph.D. positions are open within the NICEST lab at UIC. The positions are in the following areas of network information theory and communication theory:

coded caching and coded distributed data shuffling - Tuninetti.

— low-latency & high-reliability in donwlink cellular systems - Devroye, Tuninetti, Smida.

foundation of Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs) - Devroye, Rao.

 

The postdoctoral positions are for 1one year and can be extended to an additional year, contingent upon funding and satisfactory performance.

 

The Ph.D. positions are for the entire course of the corresponding award, and amount to 50%RA for the academic year.

 

Applicants should be highly motivated, have a solid mathematical background, and ideally have some knowledge in coding theory, information theory, communication theory, and related areas. If interested, please send an email to the corresponding faculty member and include (preferably a single pdf file):
