Yasaman Keshtkarjahromi

I am a Senior Research Engineer at Seagate Technology. Before joining Seagate, I was an ORAU Postdoctroral Research Fellow. I received my Ph.D., M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Tehran, Iran and Shiraz University, Iran, respectively. I worked as an intern at Bell Labs (Mathematics of Networks and Systems Research Department) and Huawei R&D (Wireless Labs), in summer 2015 and 2016, respectively.

• February 2019: I joined Seagate Technology, Storage Research Group.
• January 2019: I will serve as the registeration chair of IEEE ICNP 2019. UIC will host ICNP in October!
• December 2018: Our paper “PRAC: Private and Rateless Adaptive Coded Computation at the Edge” is accepted by SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing, 2019.
• September 2018: I organized the N2Women event at ICNP 2018. You can find the flyer of the event here.
• August 2018: I received ORAU Postdoctoral Fellowship Award.
• July 2018: Our paper on “Dynamic Heterogeneity-Aware Coded Cooperative Computation at the Edge,” will appear in ICNP 2018 (accpetance rate: 17%).
• November 2017: Our paper on “Device-to-Device Networking Meets Cellular via Network Coding,” is accepted by IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking (with minor revision).
• May 2017: I defended my Ph.D. thesis on “Design and Optimization of Cooperative Wireless Networks”.
• October 2016: Our work on “D2D Meets Cellular Using Network Coding” is accepted by CoNEXT Student Workshop, 2016.
• September 2016: Our paper on “Content-Aware Network Coding over Device-to-Device Networks” is accepted for publication in IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, 2016.
• July 2016: I am currently a research intern at Huawei R&D (Wireless lab), Rolling Meadows, IL.
• December 2015: I received UIC Provost's Award for Graduate Research for my project, “Design and Optimization of Cooperative Wireless Networks”.
• August 2015: Our work on “Network Coding for Cooperative Mobile Devices with Multiple Interfaces,” will appear in Milcom 2015.
• March 2015: I will be spending summer 2015 at Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs, Murray Hill, NJ, as an intern.
• September 2014: Our work on “Content-Aware Instantly Decodable Network Coding over Wireless Networks,” will appear in ICNC 2015.
• August 2014: Invited talk on “Quality Improvement in Instantly Decodable Network Coding,” in CRAB Workshop, ICNP 2014.
