About

I am a PhD candidate supervised by Prof. Hulya Seferoglu in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Illinois at Chicago. I work as a research assistant in the wireless communication group. Before joining University of Illinois at Chicago, I received my B.Eng. degree in Communication Engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), where I experienced four cherished years in Yingcai Experimental School.

Research Currently in Progress

My research interests are in the area of design and optimization of wireless heterogeneous netowrks. I am into mathematical modeling of wireless and transportation networks using interdisciplinary techniques in Statistics, Optmization and Machine learning to design new transport protocols, improve delay, throughput and reliability.

  • (In collaboration with AT&T Labs Research) Design of low priority transport protocols for Internet of Things over cellular networks.
  • Intelligent traffic control mechanisms by considering heterogeneity of Internet and vehicle- to-vehicle connections.
  • Stochastic network control and scheduling algorithms for wireless networks.
